What is Profhilo 2ml?
Profhilo 2ml is IBSA’s injectable bio-remodelling treatment built on NAHYCO Hybrid Technology — one of the highest HA concentrations available at 64 mg per 2 mL syringe (32 mg high-molecular-weight H-HA + 32 mg low-molecular-weight L-HA). It is stabilised thermally without BDDE chemical cross-linkers and is used to treat skin laxity, hydration and elasticity of the face and neck. Lidocaine-free; CE marked.
Profhilo created the bio-remodelling category: rather than filling lines or adding volume, the hybrid cooperative complex spreads through the tissue from a small number of Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) and slowly releases HA, stimulating collagen and elastin and improving tissue quality. The combination of two molecular weights gives high spreadability with a single 29G needle, and the BDDE-free thermal stabilisation supports a low-inflammatory profile.
Profhilo 2ml Key Ingredients
HIGH-MW HA (H-HA)
Provides longer residence in tissue and the slow-release reservoir that drives the lifting and tightening effect over the weeks following treatment.
LOW-MW HA (L-HA)
Delivers intense hydration and high spreadability, allowing wide tissue coverage from a small number of injection points.
NAHYCO COMPLEX
Binds H-HA and L-HA without chemical cross-linking agents, giving a fluid, manageable gel (tan delta > 1) distinct from cross-linked fillers.

Profhilo 2ml — Frequently Asked Questions
Neither in the traditional sense. Profhilo opened a separate category called bio-remodelling. It is not designed to fill lines or add volume, but to remodel and tighten tissue while delivering intense hydration through a hybrid HA complex.
64 mg of hyaluronic acid per 2 mL syringe — 32 mg of high-molecular-weight H-HA and 32 mg of low-molecular-weight L-HA, bound by IBSA’s NAHYCO thermal process. It is BDDE-free and lidocaine-free.
Most cross-linked HA gels are stabilised with the chemical agent BDDE. Profhilo instead uses a patented thermal process (NAHYCO) to stabilise the hybrid complex without chemical cross-linkers.
Using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique — typically 5 points on each side of the face, or 10 points on the neck. The high spreadability allows wide coverage from few injection sites.
The standard protocol is two treatments four weeks apart, with maintenance generally around every six months. Individual plans are at the practitioner’s discretion.
Skin continues to improve over the weeks after treatment as collagen and elastin are stimulated; maintenance is commonly advised at about six months. Longevity varies by patient.
Most commonly the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Profhilo is suitable for patients showing signs of skin laxity who are appropriate candidates for HA treatment.
