Overview

About the Combi Cog Thread

The Combi Cog Thread combines cog and multi-thread principles. Its multi-directional 4D (360°) barbs, placed in 90° increments, anchor the skin and soft tissues toward the anchor points for long-term fixation. By engaging the SMAS layer — where deep wrinkles form — it groups sagging muscles, reduces gravitational ptosis and the overhang of the nasolabial fold, and helps create a clear jawline without jowls. As a PDO thread, it also stimulates neocollagenesis as it is absorbed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the Combi Cog Thread?

A PDO lifting thread with multi-directional 4D (360°) barbs in 90° increments that stimulates the SMAS layer for lift and volume, supplied 20ea per pack.

What are 4D (360°) barbs?

Barbs placed around the thread in multiple directions (90° increments) so it grips tissue from all sides for strong, long-term fixation.

Where is it applied?

The upper, middle (zygomatic arch) and lower (jowls) face, and the neck, by a licensed practitioner.

How long does the effect last?

As a PDO thread, the material is absorbed over about 6 months while newly formed collagen helps maintain the result; duration varies by individual and technique.

Is it FDA approved?

NEO Thread is CE Class III and KFDA certified. The PDO raw material is classified by the US FDA as a Class II medical-device material; this is a material classification, not product approval.

What needle does it use?

A Basic Needle with a U-type Cannula, depending on the model.

Who should perform the procedure?

A trained, licensed practitioner; thread lifting is a medical procedure.

Safety

Safety information

This is a sterile, single-use absorbable thread for thread-lifting procedures. Thread lifting is a medical procedure to be performed only by trained, licensed practitioners. NEO Thread products are CE (Medical Device Class III) and KFDA certified; the PDO raw material is classified by the US FDA as a Class II medical-device material. Individual results vary and depend on technique, the patient and the model used. Use aseptic technique; mark insertion points and use local anesthetic per protocol. Bruising, swelling and discomfort may occur for 3–7 days, especially with improper technique. Patients should avoid sauna, swimming pools and excessive physical activity for about 2 weeks. Check dimensions and expiry date before use. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
