Overview

How AestheFill works

Unlike hyaluronic-acid fillers that add gel volume directly, AestheFill works by biostimulation: its PDLLA microspheres prompt the skin to generate new collagen over weeks to months, so the result develops gradually and naturally. PDLLA has a short reconstitution time, needs little water, and is fully biodegradable — broken down and cleared by the body after it has done its work.

Composition

What’s in AestheFill

POLY-D,L-LACTIC ACIDPDLLA microspheresActive

PDLLA microsphere powder, 200 mg per vial.

Poly-D,L-lactic acid is a biocompatible, biodegradable polymer formed into microspheres. After injection it stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen, then slowly breaks down into water and carbon dioxide and is cleared by the body.

CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSECMC carrierExcipient

Sodium carboxymethylcellulose carrier.

CMC is a water-soluble carrier that suspends the PDLLA microspheres evenly for smooth, uniform delivery during injection.

LYOPHILIZED FORMATReconstituted before usePreparation

Freeze-dried pellets, reconstituted with sterile water.

AestheFill is supplied as freeze-dried pellets and reconstituted with sterile water for injection before use. Official guidance is to use sterile water rather than saline, which dissolves more slowly.

Protocol

Reconstitution & treatment

Reconstitution
Add ~8 mL sterile water for injection (SWFI) to the vial; gently swirl until an even suspension forms. Official guidance: use sterile water, not saline.
Sessions
Typically 3 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, using 1–2 vials per session depending on the area.
Injection
Injected into the deep dermis / superficial subcutaneous layer by a licensed practitioner, followed by even massage of the area.
Onset
Results build gradually as new collagen forms over weeks to months; final assessment is best made 2–6 months after the last session.
Indications

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is AestheFill 200mg?

A poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) collagen stimulator supplied as a 200 mg lyophilized powder. It is reconstituted with sterile water and injected to stimulate the skin’s own collagen for gradual volume restoration.

How is AestheFill different from a hyaluronic-acid filler?

HA fillers add gel volume immediately; AestheFill is a biostimulator — its PDLLA microspheres prompt new collagen to form over weeks to months, so the result develops gradually and lasts up to around two years.

What is the difference between PDLLA and PLLA?

AestheFill uses PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid), an amorphous form that reconstitutes faster, needs less water and is described as having a lower complication rate than conventional PLLA.

How is it reconstituted?

Add about 8 mL of sterile water for injection to the vial and swirl gently until an even suspension forms. Official guidance is to use sterile water rather than saline, which dissolves more slowly.

How many sessions are needed?

Typically around 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, using 1–2 vials per session depending on the treatment area and goals.

When will results show?

Because the effect comes from new collagen formation, results build gradually over weeks to months; final results are best assessed 2–6 months after the last session.

How long do results last?

Volume results can last up to approximately two years as collagen is gradually stimulated and then slowly resorbed.

Is AestheFill FDA approved?

AestheFill is KFDA-approved in South Korea. It is a Korean PDLLA product; do not assume US FDA approval — confirm current regulatory status for your market.

Who can administer AestheFill?

Licensed, trained practitioners only. Reconstitution, injection depth and massage technique require appropriate training.

Safety

Safety information

AestheFill is a prescription collagen-stimulator device for licensed practitioners only. It must be reconstituted correctly and injected at the appropriate depth using aseptic technique. Do not treat over active infection or inflammation, and avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding or in patients with known hypersensitivity to PDLLA or carboxymethylcellulose. As with all collagen biostimulators, delayed nodules or foreign-body reactions are possible; even reconstitution, correct plane and post-treatment massage help reduce this risk. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for use before treatment.
